A National Vocational Qualification(NVQ) is a work-related qualification that links academic and vocational training within our centre and tailors the outcomes of the assessments to the workplace through a range of company specific job write ups, observations and a professional discussion which ensures that the individual receives a holistic training experience. A mentor in the workplace will assist in the embedding of the taught skills and ensure that organisation safety standards and approaches are maintained.

Technical Qualifications

A Technical qualification is often based around a structured qualification and focusses on classroom and workshop led delivery with all elements being delivered and assessed at the training centre and are intended for delivery to candidates who are new to the sector or as a prerequisite to starting in a new role with an employer. Workplace observations can be arranged if required but are not essential for this type of delivery. A mentor in the workplace is not essential as part of this type of qualification.

Scholarships

Scholarships vary based on the provider but our Scholarship programme provides a bridge into an apprenticeship and are tailored to those who have struggled with mainstream education such as schools and colleges and may not have achieved the necessary grades to progress into an apprenticeship role. Scholars receive a bursary towards travel and sustenance, and PPE is provided throughout the programme. The scholarship will incorporate work experience placement(s) with the view to progressing into an apprenticeship by the end of the programme.
